Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD)
is a chronic condition that impedes a child's activities of daily living or academic achievement.
Call Us if your child exhibits any of the following characteristics
- Difficulty using fork or spoon for eating
- Difficulty dressing by himself/herself
- Difficulty with handwriting/drawing and reading
- Has an awkward running pattern; falls frequently
Why should you treat DCD?
A child doesn't outgrow clumsiness unless a specific skill is motivating, meaningful and practiced extensively.
If not intervened, a child may suffer from low self-esteem; poor academic performance; limited participation in
recreational activities - both at school and at home.
